More about Me...

Who am I?

Having spent two decades as an evaluation consultant, including co-leading one of the UK's largest Policy & Evaluation Units, I understand the challenges of leadership, consultancy, evolving personal identity and the ongoing adjustments that are essential for a healthy and happy work-life.

My passion for coaching stems from a long-standing desire to support others to thrive, personal experience of the transformational impact of coaching and having been a change-agent for much of my career. This inspired me to train and serve as an internal coach, and more recently to offer independent coaching, which forms part of a portfolio of roles.

I have the Henley Business School Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching and am an EMCC Accredited Senior Practitioner. I am also  a member of both the International Coaching Federation and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

My approach to coaching

My coaching philosophy is underpinned by the principles of positive psychology, and inspired by the belief that every individual possesses the inherent capacity for self-discovery and growth. Through the creation of a safe and trusted space, I create an environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and aspirations freely. This approach enables a deep connection that nurtures authentic development.

Recognising the uniqueness of each individual, I work flexibly and where relevant, employ a variety of blended approaches, including person-centred and solution-focused approaches, that are tailored to meet client specific needs. This flexibility ensures that the coaching experience is personalised and resonates with the client’s aspirations and context.

Some of my areas of interest

I am passionate about supporting others to reimagine the dynamics of work-life, effectively navigate transitions, and explore the intricate evolution of purpose and identity. Through thought-provoking conversations, I partner with clients to support the reframing of perspectives in these, as well as other areas.

Where else do I spend my time?

I am one of the Co-Founders of Next Brave Move, a consultancy on a mission to reimagine work-life for good. NBM is exploring the relationships people have with their work and how to achieve and maintain Healthy High Performance while avoiding exhaustion and burnout.

I also act as an advisor to organisations to support the development of effective strategy & evaluation/impact measurement and am a member of the board of trustees at New Philanthropy Capital.

Podcast

I was recently a guest on the Leaders in Conversation podcast with Anni Townend, where we explored:

  1. How understanding and embracing your heritage can enable you to more fully connect with your passion and purpose;

  2. How tuning into your strengths and into what comes naturally to you can open up new possibilities for exploring your leadership;

  3. The beauty of the ‘reset’, and how discovering and using your ‘reset function’ can help you in re-evaluating and ‘course correcting’ your leadership as you go along.

  4. The importance of having a support network who act as ‘thinking partners’ to help you stay ‘on course’.
